Shibuya Hoppmann Corporation has been in business since 1955 and has delivered many systems that operate for decades. Throughout our history automation technologies have evolved – as has the process of record keeping. We have electronic, searchable records on all systems sold within the last twenty years, but prior to that, many records are available in hard copy format only.
The process of converting all of the old hard copy records to electronic files is challenging. It is just as challenging to reliably and accurately store that volume of paper data. We do not know with 100% accuracy which systems are still in operation and which are not. That is why we’re reaching out to you.
As of October 1, 2014 we will no longer maintain the hard copy records on systems that are more than twenty (20) years old. However we are willing to provide the hard copy files that we have, as is, to the original owner of these systems when the owner is still operating the system. These files will be provided at no cost to those owners under a limited license agreement.
We will attempt to contact our customers to communicate our offer. However given the many changes in the corporate world over the years (sales, mergers, acquisitions, etc.) this will not be an easy task.
IF YOU HAVE A HOPPMANN SYSTEM IN OPERATION THAT WAS BUILT BEFORE 1994 — CONTACT US!
Try to provide us the serial #, project number, or other identifying data and the location where the system currently operates, as well as your current contact information. We’ll then reach out to you to send the limited license agreement, and to arrange a transfer of the records that we have for your system.
