Service Technician - Ohio

Shibuya Hoppmann has an immediate opening for an energetic and motivated service technician who’s looking for an opportunity to learn and try new things. This job involves machinery installation, maintenance and customer support for Shibuya Filling Systems.

The position will be based out of your home in or around Tipp City OH, but work will be primarily located at customer sites (indoors), and will therefore require significant domestic and some international travel.

We will provide the on-the-job training at customer sites as well as our facilities in Virginia and Japan – you provide the mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn!

Please note that for the first 12-16 months expectations for travel will be low, but may increase significantly after that initial period.

Responsibilities to include:   

• Installation and hands-on assembly work
• Service and maintenance of equipment after installation
• Operational support & trouble shooting  
• Operator training
• Communication with customers, sub-contractors, engineers and other service team members  
• Test run and verification work support   
• Documentation (work reports, records, and technical documents

Qualifications:  

• Strong mechanical aptitude, as well as skill and experience working with machinery.
• Good communication skills. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted and crawl under/step over equipment easily.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with Real ID or current passport (or ability to get a passport) and authorization to work in the United States.

Experience with food/beverage processing machinery would be advantageous (but not required).    

We are currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for Field Service Technician new hires. $1,500 is payable after 90-days of employment, and the remaining $1,500 is payable after 180 days of employment.
